Frank Quarless (About 1913)
Frank Quarless (About 1914)
Frank Francis Quarless was born in Liverpool 3rd August 1911, the son of John Isaiah Quarless and Elizabeth (née Lawrence). The seventh of twelve children, he grew up surrounded by a household of brothers and sisters. Though his years were few, he was part of a family story deeply rooted in the Liverpool community.
On 20 August 1920, at just nine years old, Frank passed away. His death certificate records “middle ear disease” as the cause. A reminder of fragile childhood health in the early 20th century, before the medical advances we know today.
Though Frank’s life was short, remembering him allows us to honour his place in our family.
